All things must pass

My time as a teacher has come to an end, at least for a while.  I didn't like the idea of trying to hustle my way through another year without a full time job so I've managed to find a job doing computer training for NY State employees.  As straight jobs go, it's a pretty good one.  8-4, no work to take home, a 5 minute commute, relaxed office, good benefits...

But I miss being in schools and working with kids, I miss having a real sense of mission, and I miss feeling like I'm making the world a better place. 

I'm not exactly sure how long I'll be here or where I'm going after this, but the teaching career is on hold for a while.
